Built for large-capacity applications on single-hand, switch and two-handed rods, the Old Mariner 12 Standard Drag Fly Reel delivers the strength, capacity and line retrieval needed for surf, flats and open-ocean fly fishing.

The dual-sided frame keeps the spool, drag and sealed ceramic bearings precisely aligned under heavy loads, helping eliminate spool flex and reduce bearing wear. Sealed ceramic bearings and a fully sealed drag provide smooth, maintenance-free performance in demanding saltwater conditions.

With 300 yards of 30# Dacron backing capacity plus a WF12F line and approximately 14.8 inches of line retrieval per revolution, the Old Mariner 12 is built to handle serious fish and serious water.
