The largest-diameter fly reel Old Mariner makes, the Old Mariner 12+ Standard Drag Fly Reel is built for offshore and surf applications where backing capacity, strength and fast line retrieval are critical.

The 5.25-inch spool retrieves approximately 16.5 inches of line per revolution, helping you recover line quickly when fighting powerful fish. The standard drag provides infinite adjustment from free spool to full lock-down in 2.25 turns, giving you smooth, precise control throughout the fight.

A dual-sided frame keeps the spool, drag and sealed ceramic bearings precisely aligned under load for reliable, maintenance-free performance in demanding saltwater conditions.
